Ken is an ex-civil rights, environmental, and “peace” attorney. He has a Harvard Law Degree, 1981, and a Wharton MBA, 1987. He clerked for US District Court Judge John Bartels in the Eastern District of New York. He was then a Fellow at the Center for Law in the Public Interest in Washington, DC, a Rockefeller Family Fund & MacArthur Foundation funded public interest institute. In 1985, Ken set his sights on developing a significant financial platform for a robust philanthropic agenda. In 1987, he created The Goldenberg Group, a hybrid real estate development and management company, entrepreneurial enterprise creator and operator, and philanthropy. Ken’s commitment to helping the “neediest of the needy” and making the world a better place for all informs almost everything he does in one way or another. When Ken is not in Philadelphia acting as the “coxswain” for TGG’s real estate development group, he is often in Igoji, Kenya, living at St. Lucy’s School for the Blind and working with TGG’s philanthropy there: People Helping People – Kenya. Ken is extremely proud about the organization he created and its prospects for the future.
