Developers of a long-anticipated Costco-anchored shopping center in Lower Macungie Township held a ceremonial ground-breaking event Thursday, describing the $140 million project as one of the most challenging they’ve undertaken.
Speaking to a crowd of about 200 people, Jeremy Fogel of the Goldenberg Group of Montgomery County and Tim Harrison of Staten Island, N.Y., praised township representatives and other officials who guided a project that will bring the Lehigh Valley its first Costco and Whole Foods stores.
