As Director of Community Impact, Kate works to ensure The Goldenberg Group’s philanthropic arm is strong both at home and abroad. Primarily, Kate manages TGG’s People Helping People Foundation (PHP), which supports and spearheads community development initiatives in education, volunteerism and empowerment throughout Greater Philadelphia and Meru County, Kenya. In addition to overseeing strategy and logistics for PHP, Kate also consults internally on socially responsible real estate development.
Kate is a graduate of Muhlenberg College (BA) and Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (MSS), where she concentrated in community practice, policy and advocacy. At Bryn Mawn, Kate also served as co-founder and vice president of the graduate school’s Macro Social Work Student Network. She holds a Pennsylvania Social Work License and has experience in nonprofit program development and evaluation, as well as clinical hospice care.
Kate’s loves to cook, walk, garden, dance, play the ukulele, and spend time with friends and family. Fun Fact: Kate’s worked at over 10 farms across the U.S., including Alaska.
